in North Little Rock, Arkansas

small0001.jpgOverbrook Addition is situated on a five hundred and fifty acre tract of wooded rolling land in the most southerly Ozark foothills lying north of the Arkansas River in Pulaski County, Arkansas. This residential neighborhood of more than 1,000 homes lies in North Little Rock and Sherwood, Arkansas. The convenience of this location for living is unsurpassed in the central Arkansas metropolitan area. Approximately 2 miles south of Overbrook is the North Terminal Interchange at which Interstate Highways 40 and 30 intersect. These expressways enable motorists to connect to just about any city in the United States including the downtown areas of Little Rock, Memphis, Fort Smith, Texarkana, St.Louis, Dallas and beyond in all directions. This neighborhood has been developed in stages. The first  homes were constructed in the early 1970's, with newer homes now being constructed.

Overbrook home owners enjoy a private park providing recreational facilities for their exclusive use and enjoyment. The park has an olympic size swimming pool, a wading pool for the little ones and dressing rooms with showers. An open aired pavilion is available and can be reserved for parties. There are 3 tennis courts and one outdoor basketball court. A shaded playground equipped with playground equipment (slides, swings, etc.) and picnic tables are more of the park’s amenities.

Several green belts running throughout Overbrook enhance the privacy of the home sites and contribute to the natural character of the land. The Five Mile Creek basin with its paved walking trail winds through Overbrook. It has been set aside as a preserve and is maintained largely in its natural state. The newly resurfaced, widened and straightened Overbrook trail is a wonderful retreat from the urban world providing walkers, joggers and bicyclists a venue to enjoy our great outdoors and to get some exercise at the same time.

Many shopping areas are less than 2 miles from our neighborhood. McCain Mall is an enclosed air-conditioned mall with three major department stores, 80 specialty shops and a movie theater that opened in late 2012. Lakewood Village is an open aired mall offering an amphitheater with frequent entertainment, specialty shops, restaurants and a movie theater.  There are grocery stores and many eateries within blocks of our homes.

We also have several private schools within just a few miles. Senior citizens can enjoy a wide variety of activities at the North Little Rock’s Patrick Henry Hays Senior Citizens Center.
